Field Box: This element of the System holds a removable Field Insert, and is carried in a typical fishing vest.

Field Insert: This “mobile” Field Insert, normally stored with other inserts in the Mother Box or optional Index Drawer, is transferred to your Field Box and carried into the field holding your fly selection (up to 28), via magnetic strips in their numbered location.

This unique feature allows the angler to match his or her fly inventory to a particular river, lake, or stream. Once matched, the location of that particular Field Insert and the names of the flies held on it can be recorded on the numbered rows of the waterproof Fly Index Card. This Field Insert can also be recorded on a Field Log Card for future reference. You will, as well as those who chose to follow you, know where you fished, what flies you used, where they’re kept and if you’re equipped with modern GPS technology, where you caught and released that “monster”. It should also be noted that this Field Box was designed to fit, along with the Binder, into the optional Storage Drawer.

This Field Box is included with the Mother Box Assembly and therefore need not be purchased separately. However, if you wish to purchase this item separately, a Field Insert will be included.
